Paul McCartney Would Like to Duet With Bob Dylan

In 2023, Paul McCartney collaborated with the Rolling Stones, Jimmy Buffett, Dolly Parton and his former bandmates in The Beatles.

Paul McCartney has revealed that he’d like duet with Bob Dylan. The Beatles legend made the comment in his year-end “You Gave Me the Answer – 23 Questions for 2023” on his official website.

In the Q&A, a fan identified as Vonnie asks McCartney, “Is there anyone else you would like a sing a duet with?” McCartney answers, “Bob Dylan keeps coming up in my mind, but I don’t know if we’ll ever get ‘round to it.”

That reveal comes after McCartney made a trio of appearances on recordings by other legends released during 2023, including guest spots on the Rolling Stones’ “Bite My Head Off” from their new Hackney Diamonds album, Dolly Parton’s cover of “Let It Be” from her Rockstar set, and “My Gummie Just Kicked In” from Jimmy Buffett’s posthumously released album Equal Strain on All Parts.

Elsewhere in the interview, McCartney reveals that his highlight of the year was his Got Back tour and his favorite song to perform live on the trek was “probably ‘Hey Jude’, just to see all those thousands of people singing in harmony with each other.”

McCartney also addressed what’s been billed as the “final Beatles song,” “Now and Then,” saying that it was “very emotional” the first time he heard John Lennon’s voice “crystal clear” on the recording for the first time and seeing “John goofing around” is his favorite part of the music video for the song.

Other tidbits revealed: His guilty pleasure is the TV show Bargain Hunt; he also enjoys “David Attenborough’s shows, and in-depth historical documentary stuff” and he also likes Strictly”; and his favorite vegetarian meal to cook at home is quesadillas.
