The Rolling Stones Extend Their Record For The Most Top 10 Albums Of All Time

The Rolling Stones are back with new music, and they did not disappoint. Their new album Hackney Diamonds has received rave reviews and fans clearly love the set as well. All around the world the title was a major success, including in the U.S., where it has helped the band extend one of their most impressive records.

Hackney Diamonds opens at No. 3 on this week’s Billboard 200. The chart, published weekly by Billboard, tracks the most-consumed albums in the U.S. The latest win from the Rolling Stones helps them extend their record as the act with the most placements inside the top 10 on the tally.

As their latest offering debuts close to the summit on the Billboard 200, the Rolling Stones collect their thirty-eighth top 10 album. They already claimed the most appearances in the region among all acts, and with this latest set, they put more distance between themselves and their closest competition.

Currently, Barbra Streisand claims the second-most top 10 albums on the Billboard 200. The singer, songwriter and actress has charted 34 titles inside the highest tier on the tally. Both The Beatles and Frank Sinatra come next with 32 top 10s each.

Hackney Diamonds might not have hit No. 1, but it was a huge commercial success nonetheless. The title opens in third place with 101,000 equivalent units shifted. Of that sum, 94,000 copies were pure purchases. The Rolling Stones come in behind only the newest release from Blink-182, One More Time, at No. 1 and Drake’s For All The Dogs at No. 2.
